Abbott Diabetes Care, Abbott GmbH is looking for a Senior Manager Market Access EMEA (m/f/d) based in Germany (Wiesbaden), UK (London), Spain (Madrid), Italy (Rome) or France (P aris).

Are you looking at having transformational impact on patients living with Diabetes across Europe, Middle East and Africa? Then, join our EMEA team to drive patients access to innovative sensing technology.

Major Accountabilities

  • Develop and drive EMEA market access strategy for ADC product portfolio and ensure market access launch readiness in all EMEA markets

  • Design and implement innovative mechanisms to enable and expand reimbursement with focus on

  • new customer segments

  • new products

  • digital health solutions

  • Manage an EMEA tendering task force to systematically understand competitor’s bidding behavior and take an active role in developing the tendering landscape in EMEA. Advise local teams in bidding behavior leveraging local best practices.

  • Differentiate our products by supporting the markets to adapt or evolve a global value story to a local healthcare context in order to avoid price erosion and get preference. Develop appropriate communication platforms to reinforce the value messages for our products (e.g. workshops, payer info material).

  • As situationally required take an active or supporting role in negotiating for expansion of local reimbursement . Analyze and propose financial offers based on economic models working together with EMEA finance. Maintain & curate a tender / pricing data base as input for financial models.

  • Travel: approx. 20%

Qualification:

  • Advanced Degree in Science, Economics or related areas.

  • Medical Degree, Master’s Degree in Market Access, Public Health, Health Economics or Health Policy.

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in local, regional or/And global reimbursement & Market Access functions of pharma / medical device or related functions of payers / Market Accessor Healthcare consultancies / disease management organizations (Market Access or related functional areas).

  • Understanding of diabetes and blood glucose measuring business is a plus

  • Track record of bringing new products into reimbursement (pharma / medical device).

  • pricing/tendering background is a plus.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to drive execution of plans leveraging the support of other functions.

  • Strong background in evidence-based medicine and / or public health and/or market access and / or competitive effectiveness research and / or health economics.

  • Diligence, team play and executive communication skills.
