Excellent full time direct hire opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to work for a steel company manufacturing electrical steel laminations. As a Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high paces production stamping environment\ \ Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, complete maintenance on mechanical presses, press line related equipment, conveyor systems, overhead cranes and various production machines
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions
• Perform preventative task associated on heavy industrial manufacturing equipment
• Locate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
• Proficient in rigging/lifting fundamentals required for large equipment replacements

Preferred skills and expertise

• Experience with Mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatic equipment
• Journeyman level skills supported by the successful completion of a Journeyman mechanical training program or mechanical training apprenticeship program
• Minimum of 3+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
