General Summary:

As a Project Manager you will lead and be directly responsible for the projects and the handling of any new equipment orders from sale, service, ordering, installations and invoicing as well as quoting on service orientated new equipment for Record / ASSA ABLOY.

Your responsibilities will be to ensure a safe working environment, deliver exceptional service to our customers and drive continual improvement in our field operations to achieve profitability and effective execution of contracts.

Principle Duties &

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture of Health & Safety within the team, including but not exclusive to the delivery of on-site audits and safety.

  • Manage projects from customer order to job completion, including site inspection, measurements and ordering of materials and scheduling.

  • Assisting Sales and service staff with specifications and quoting

  • Support, coach, and develop your direct reports to drive efficiency and competency in their teams.

  • Continuously monitor sub-contractor use and ensure sub-contractors are engaged effectively and efficiently and foster the relationship.

  • Manage the completion of all required documentation for projects.

  • Report and manage project costs including but not exclusive to WIP, forecasting, project overview, and project cost analysis

  • On-site issue resolution

  • Request for variations to Work Orders/Purchase Orders when required.

  • Other tasks that may be required from time to time.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Project Management role

  • Previous experience as a Technician/Installer is preferable

  • Experience in the service or building/construction industry preferrable

  • Understanding of service business ie. maintenance process and technical understanding including product knowledge

  • Adept with WHS laws and legislations

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Physically fit and able to travel

  • Must have current drivers licence and good driving record

  • A good level of business acumen and ability to strategically design operations, communicate and implement within the organisation.

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Able to work within prescribed policies, guidelines and standards

  • Well-developed organizational skills and ability to coordinate paperwork/reporting requirements.

  • Efficient problem solving

  • Must be project orientated and have a passion for service and customer relations through a hands-on approach.

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional phone manner

  • Proven track record of delivering results.

  • Speed of thought, prioritisation, and decision-making skills

  • Sense of urgency and ability to work in a changing fast paced environment

  • Process discipline – completion of required process and documentation on time and in full

  • Full compliance to safe work standards, quality of work standards and customer service standards

  • Technical knowledge of all Company Door Automation products preferable

  • Customer relationship building skills – maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships

    A Manager has the primary duty of care to ensure the health and safety of workers (including subcontractors) while they are at work in the business or undertaking. They are also responsible for ensuring work carried out does not carry risk to the health and safety of others, along with strict adherence to Safety Management Procedures and Policies
