What You’ll Get to Do:

In support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and under the direction from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), your primary focus will be to assist with establishing and maintaining a process to manage the project, including managing tasks and resources, tracking and reporting project progress, and any other project-related activities.

This position is located on-site, in Tysons Corner, VA.

More About the Role:

As a Strategic Communications Analyst, you will:

  • Help to manage web-based presence by analyzing and following established protocols to update and edit the SEVP website

  • Support the creation and review of content and coordination of the ICE/gov/SEVP website

  • Aid and coordinate the social media presence of SEVP in the various social media platforms

  • Monitor media outlets for domestic and international topics relevant to SEVP and international education trends

  • Help to create, maintain, and execute a communication plans

  • Coordinate messaging and delivery for cross-marketing and content-sharing with DHS components and other government agencies

  • Support processes and coordinate strategic outreach to internal and external stakeholder groups

  • Maintain in-house presentation content repositories and perform regular updates and reviews of materials and template presentations to ensure information is up to date and adheres to branding guidelines

  • Support SEVP field representative event attendance through the use of SCT’s Microsoft Dynamics products. Ensure field representatives are equipped with the materials and resources needed to conduct events

  • Help to facilitate SEVP’s participation in events and webinars with other government agencies, as well as internal briefings and presentations to government partners

  • Maintain and propose refinements to C&O’s Microsoft Dynamics applications to ensure collection of SEVP outreach and event data

  • Perform data quality assurance checks on data in C&O’s Microsoft Dynamics applications

  • Help to develop a process and coordinate strategic outreach to internal and external stakeholder groups, including government partners .

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field

  • Three (3) years’ experience relevant experience in business processes and management

  • Must be able to obtain NACI (Public Trust) clearance / background investigation

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis

  • Ability to educate and inform senior management on various communication planning alternatives

  • Ability to balance multiple complex initiatives

  • Ability to incorporate management systems and processes into a team in order to execute planned goals

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • DHS Secret Clearance

  • Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Drupal, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and/or Adobe Connect

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,100 - $123,300
