This position requires the right candidate to have a good grasp on accounts receivables as they relate to sales tax. This position will be 100% on-site, and offers growth opportunities as well!

salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

Responsible for investigating and verifying customer tax exempt status including requesting tax

exemptions, reviewing documents received, and updating customer accounts.

Analyzing sales data to ensure compliance with sales tax reporting requirements.

Monthly and quarterly reporting of sales tax transactions for required sales tax filings.

Tracks and resolves outstanding sales tax payment issues via email and telephone.

Investigates and resolves unauthorized sales tax deductions by customers.

Applies cash receipts (lockbox, wire, and ACH) to customer invoices and orders.

Processes credit card orders and balances activity at month end.

Monitors accounts receivable aging, ensuring past due accounts are contacted and investigated.

Reviews status of problem accounts with Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

Prepares analysis of customer accounts, as required.

Supports other accounting functions as needed.

Possesses and follows behavioral competencies and necessary skills to achieve overall

company desired results and expectations.
