Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Lead Tender Specialist (Surface Wellhead & X'mas Tree) in Singapore. The position is responsible to support achievement of the business plan by taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process, which includes managing all aspects of tender work and the final compilation of all documents in a completed bid package for submission to the customer before the bid closing date.

What You Will Do: ​

• Ensure all assigned Tenders / Request For Quotes/Information are submitted on time and in accordance with the company’s standards and guidelines

• To manage all aspects of tender submission by leading and coordinating the preparation of bid submission and setting timelines with all stakeholders

• A strong team player and required to collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Legal, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Finance, HR, Operations, Sales and other subject matter experts, to gather information and develop bid strategies

• Follow up and ensure all stakeholders provide information on time in response to customer’s requirements

• Review and compile all documents provided by stakeholders for compilation for final bid submission

• Competency in reviewing customers’ specification/requirements and work with Engineering for Quotation “Bill of Materials” (BOM)

• Strong engagement with Costing and SCM on competitive costings analysis.

• Work with Sales on winning strategies and develop pricing presentation for Management review

• Manage and follow up of outstanding points/clarifications to be closed out

• Support superiors in guiding the junior team member(s)

• Data gathering and analysis as when required by direct supervisor

• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by direct supervisor and/or management from time to time

What You Have:

Industry Knowledge

• Related tendering experience dealing with Pressure Control - Surface Wellhead and X’mas Tree equipment

• Advantageous to have experience in a senior role within the tender team

• Familiar with ERP System and MS office

Customer Focus:

• Able to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Fosters strong relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and on-going feedback/improvement

Effective Communications:

• Communicates well downward, upward, and outward

• Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement
