MOFFATT & NICHOL Water Resources Engineer - Mid to Senior Level in Seattle, Washington

We are actively looking for a Mid to Senior Level Water Resources Engineer to join our Seattle office (This position can be remote based. As part of the Water Group, the Water Resources Engineer will coordinate with BULs and assist in leading the strategic planning and internal/external engagement for reservoir storage recovery opportunities, projects, and programs for new and existing clientele. Assists in leading the strategic planning and internal/external engagement for reservoir storage recovery opportunities, projects, and programs for new and existing clientele Manages projects, tasks, including scope, schedule and budget. Manages project tasks and assists in identification of talent to grow the capabilities of the local, regional, and national team Assists in leading the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages Assists the technical lead on projects and, as appropriate, oversees junior, and mid-level engineering staff on projects that may include dredging, sediment management, geomorphology, surface water hydrology & hydraulics, flood risk management, estuarine/ coastal restoration and protection, and construction and value engineering Will help drive expansion of reservoir storage recovery capabilities within company Supports management of multidisciplinary teams on small to mid-sized coastal and port/maritime projects Oversees 1D and 2D riverine hydraulic and sediment modeling Assists in preparation and reviews of proposal and labor estimates. When appropriate, participates in project interviews Prepares written and graphic reports and makes presentations Prepares various draft and final documents, including reports and technical memoranda Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways Assists with maintaining compliance related to project governance and audits related to corporate certification requirements (e.g. ISO9001) Supervisory responsibilities: Provides guidance to subordinates with the latitude of established company policies when necessary Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
