Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer for a temporary position in our Device Assembly and Packaging team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Cilag AG manufactures high quality pharmaceutical products, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) and medical devices. Today Cilag AG is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in Switzerland supplying all the major global markets. The Schaffhausen facility is a strategic launch and growth site for parenteral products, and we have an impressive pipeline of new and innovative products.

The MAM organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems activities. This occurs in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing & Technical Organization (MTO) and in conjunction with key partners, to create one integrated internal/external network.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be in charge of leading and managing projects related to device assembly and packaging. You will collaborate closely with teams from various departments to ensure the seamless design, development, and implementation of packaging solutions for our advanced medical devices. Your engineering expertise and track record will play a vital role in driving the success of these projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage projects related to device assembly and packaging process

  • Work closely with team members from various departments and external collaborators to establish project goals and desired outcomes.

  • Ensure equipment readiness to support successful launch of new products

  • Decommissioning and relocation of equipment

  • Support the implementation of automated material handling

  • Oversee the implementation installation and validation qualification of packaging systems in manufacturing facilities

  • Offer technical support and guidance to teams from various departments throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in device assembly and packaging technology

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in device assembly and packaging

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time and within budget

  • Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and quality standards

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

  • Ambitious and self-motivated with a strong drive for continuous improvement

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
