Applied Materials GRFO Production Control Planner & Master Scheduler - (B3) in Santa Clara, California

Key Responsibilities

  • Employees may specialize in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / Material Resources Planning (MRP) integrity

  • Maintains Production Order release schedule that provides material on-time to manufacturing and engineering. Reschedules and/or completes no-charge, all Production Orders as required. Increases component availability at time of release by performing pre-shortage analysis. Performs work order variance analysis. May train lower level personnel.

  • Reviews MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information; reconciles supply and demand; validates master scheduling and/or requirements.

  • Works with buyers/planners to manage material affected by engineering change orders. Reviews and ensures proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECO's). Performs regular system maintenance and audits to ensure system accuracy.

  • Participates in floor audits with Finance and resolves WIP issues. Audits WIP physical inventory issues. Attends production meetings and provides status on material shortage commit dates through reported schedule and internal customer meetings. Changes "make" level lead times in accordance with reality on the manufacturing floor.

  • Works with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects.

  • Shop Floor Control / MRP Integrity - Pulls shop floor control reports for analysis; reports performance to fixed lead times, analyzes lead time performance and capacity with work centers; feeds back lead time and routing issues.

  • Perform necessary transactions for RTS/DMR/QN activity.

  • Inventory Control - Analyzes usage data and stock levels to order parts to satisfy service levels; maintains inventory levels per plan and expedites shortages. Examines material variances, resolves problems where possible, and/or communicates more difficult problems to management. Sets up new inventory systems or modifies existing systems; assigns appropriate expediting duties to expediters.

  • Process Control - Drives root cause and corrective action from reporting and metrics, drives cycle counting; drives variance root cause and corrective action.

  • May function as Training Focal - Certifies and re-certifies planning community on planning process; acts as trainer for Learning Labs.

  • Engage with Logistics to ensure proper material movement and shipment of completed assemblies.

Other Requirements:

May involve visiting clean room (workcenter), which may require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

GRFO Master Scheduler

  • Ensure all GRFO Repair Factories are level loaded per reported capacity to enable close to the customer support.

  • Analyzes and maintains master scheduling and/or slotting reports and measurements; runs and reports on metrics.

  • Requires daily engagement with PC, Order Management, AGS RVC, Purchasing, Engineering and Regional Management Teams to support a Global Operation with multiple repair centers (domestic and international).

  • Follows documented business processes and identifies inconsistencies to management.

  • Manages order pull in / push outs including capacity constraint analysis. Manages and maintains all milestone routings for products globally.

  • Coordinates demand in MRP (new builds & repairs). Monitors and validates MRP accuracy. Researches engineering change orders; recommends changes and adjusts planning bills as required. Resolves data integrity issues. Responds to MRP validation inquires from purchasing community.

  • Coordinates with RVC to ensure opportunities are set up correctly in SAP. Coordinates schedule transition between pilot and volume manufacturing as well as other business groups.

  • Manages PIRs for material forecast for set of products. Manages NSR content on PIRs for GRFO new build and repairs globally. Manages overplan material.

  • Responsible for MRP integrity for products managed.

  • Participates in quarterly supply review process.

  • Will support multiple global workcenters throughout GRFO repair centers.

U.S. Salary Range:

$88,000.00 - $121,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
