Robert Half HR Generalist in San Francisco, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our non-profit organization as an HR Generalist in San Francisco, California. This role focuses on handling employee relations issues, conducting internal investigations, and managing leaves of absence. You will also be responsible for continuously improving the company's people and culture strategy.

Responsibilities: • Address and resolve employee relations issues in accordance with the company's commitment to the principles of cultural humility and supportive supervision. • Conduct internal investigations regarding employee relations, including conflict transformation/mediation, DEI intergroup dynamics, and providing support to leadership with team and individuals' growth opportunities/issues. • Act as a coach or sounding board to any employee who needs one. • Collaborate closely with the Director of People & Culture to ensure that issues are addressed properly. • Continuously evaluate and improve the company's people and culture strategy. • Develop a deep understanding of the principles of cultural humility and DEI initiatives. • Champion for DEI and cultural humility within the organization. • Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA/CFRA, CA Disability and PFL programs. • Answer employee leave questions and ensure that time off (including sick and vacation) is properly requested and recorded. • Use ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, Compensation & Benefits, HR Compliance, HR Policy, Policies & Procedures skills to perform job duties. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a similar role as an HR Generalist

• Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time

• Strong understanding and experience in handling Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, and Employee Relations

• Ability to administer benefits and understand Compensation & Benefits dynamics

• Knowledge and application of HR Compliance and HR Policy

• Experience in formulating, implementing, and reviewing Policies & Procedures

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• detail oriented certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in conflict resolution

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
