Victory Packaging Production Scheduler in San Antonio, Texas

Career Opportunity:

The Production scheduler is responsible for production schedules, communicating order status and changes, driving continuous improvement of scheduling functions, and facilitating inventory consensus across sales, operations, and procurement. This position involves a high level of interaction with a variety of business functions and assists with achieving the daily operational tasks and goals.

Work week: M-Th

Work hours: 7am-5:30pm

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Communicate changes, additions, and deletions to production schedule as needed to customer service and production departments.

  • Maintain integrity of the production schedule by freezing the schedule according to the General Manger’s guidelines.

  • Review allocation, make-ready, and on-time press calculations for accuracy.

  • Reports all orders that are late or have the potential of shipping late to customer service and branch management.

  • Maintain a seamless workflow, efficiency, and on-time shipment of orders.

  • Responds to internal CSA’s requests from customers to change order delivery dates.

  • Communicates daily with customer service department, operators, managers, and other internal departments as needed.

  • Ensures all raw materials are available to meet press dates.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and on-the-job training.

  • Minimum 5 years related experience.

  • Previous background in corrugated, paper, or similar manufacturing environment.

  • Superior computer skills including experience with inventory management.

  • Possess strong communications skills; verbal and written.
