The Boeing Company has multiple exciting opportunities for highly motivated forward-thinking Systems Administrator Graduate to join our team located in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. This programme commences July 2024 and will be a 6 months full time, fixed term contract. In this very unique and exciting role, you will be required to support installation, set-up and operational support with varying operating systems and hardware interfaces. You must have a good understanding of IT concepts and the ability to think independently and create solutions with non-standard equipment, duties will include working within and supporting proprietary areas.

Position Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software and components

  • Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments from desktops to/and servers

  • Provide a broad range of basic systems and application support and patch management

  • Protect classified and proprietary information

  • Administer user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements

  • Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities

  • Integrate security solutions into information systems

  • Evaluate and effectively communicate complex system problems and resolutions

  • Provide on-site/in-person hardware installation, cabling, and configuration

  • Identifies computing requirements and confers on system needs

  • Ensure the system conforms to architectural objectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Minimum of 1-year experience using computing systems at work

  • Minimum of 1-year experience hardware and software installation and troubleshooting experience

  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with or supporting the following OS environments:

  • Windows 2016 servers or greater

  • VMware v6 or greater

  • Linux (Ubuntu, Centos, Red Hat )

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Familiarity with VMware virtual network environment

  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting CISCO networks (LAN, WAN & Routing)

  • Familiarity with Windows Servers and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2019, Windows 10 and higher)

  • Familiarity with Windows OS deployments and Patch updates

  • Familiarity with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policies

  • Responsible for reviewing capacity, storage planning, and database performance

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

  • Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

  • Perform Backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures

  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

  • CompTIA Security + certified (equivalent or higher)

  • Preferred a bachelor's degrees in Information Technology or Computer Science/Engineering.

Key Relationships:

  • You will report to a Senior Manager.

  • You will work under the supervision of the Technical Lead.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabia law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Saudi Arabia labor and immigration formalities.
