Production Supervisor - Refri-Claim

Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor is responsible for all production activities under Refri-Claim program, and will assist the Production Manager in other areas as required. This position is responsible for assisting the safe and efficient supervision and operations including production performance to ensure that company production targets are met.

The premises in Rhome, TX

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Refri-Claim program, including production performance and on-time shipments.

  • Assist the plant manager in work assignments within the plant as needed.

  • Provide daily supervision and the monitoring of staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations.

  • Report any faults, site and maintenance issues to ensure site safety and product quality.

  • Conduct and ensure all necessary staff training is completed and signed off so that staff are well equipped to do their job.

  • Encourage and participate in a Health and Safety culture to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Work, and supervise others to work, in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety and carry out tasks in a safe manner as detailed in the standard operational procedures, so as to protect the health and safety of yourself and others.

  • Communicate with logistics to ensure that all bulk and packaged deliveries are executed in accordance with customer requirements.

  • Prepare for and attend meetings when required with other departments so that there is continuous communication.

  • Responsible for ensuring that quality control is implemented on a constant basis. Personally follow all operational processes and carry out quality control checks and ensure the close inspection of work activities of the team. Reinforce the importance of the Awareness policy to site personnel, in order to keep the smooth and safe running of workshop operations.

  • Carry out checks of incoming products and materials, and site generated AHRI and customer drums.

  • Carry out operational activity including drum management, AHRI decant, separator load and decant, ISO decant and load, RSC, blending tonne drums and ISOs, purging of tonne drums and ISOs preparing, filling, flammable cylinders, IBC's and drums as well as working in the recovery process so that we are available to fulfil customer orders (ES).

  • Carry out operational activity including preparing, filling, picking and dispatching cylinders, as well as working in the recovery process so that we are available to fulfil customer orders

  • Any other tasks, as required

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Essential

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required

    • 3+ years' similar experience

    • Previous experience as a supervisor in an operations setting

  • Desirable

    • Forklift license

    • Understanding of basic engineering, warehouse and environmental services
