Summary About the Position: Serves as a technical specialist responsible for analyzing, organizing, and coordinating major elements of the safety program involving the Occupational Safety and Health Act for Huntsville Center (HNC). Responsibilities Review and provide comment on safety documents, assessments, hazard analyses, system safety program plans, fire protection plans and analyses, site specific safety plans and other complex safety documents. Assist Senior Safety Manager as the safety office focal point for program(s) assigned and is an integral team member of the Product Delivery Team (PDT). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: contract management for Safety and Occupational Health oversight with emphasis on scopes of work and criteria for Contractor Performance; performing job hazard analysis to perform mishap investigations; and evaluating compliance with safety and occupational health criteria on maintenance and service contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
