Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

As an HVAC Foreman on LOGCAP, you will lead an HVAC team in installing, servicing, and repairing environmental control units ranging from window units to chill water systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of HVAC technicians ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and industry standards.

  • Provide leadership to cause the creation of processes required to fully execute the requirements of services.

  • Be responsible for the execution of HVAC mechanical services including their quality and cost.

  • Direct the activities of HVAC mechanics.

  • Install, service, and repair environmental-control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.

  • Mount compressors and condenser units on platform or floor, use hand tools, follow blueprints or engineering specifications.

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.

  • Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power sources.

  • Install, repair and service air conditioners, ranging from fifteen to twenty tons cooling capacity in warehouses and small factory buildings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in a related field is preferred.

  • Requires at least 5 years of HVAC experience.

  • Requires at least 2 years of Leadership, Supervisory, or Management experience.

  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Technician Certification required.

  • EPA certification Type I and II required.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems including installation techniques, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

  • Requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to enforce them to maintain a safe work environment is required.

  • Must have knowledge of installs, services, and repairs environmental-control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.

  • Requires the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

  • Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility required.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis as well as climb, reach, crawl, bend, crouch, and work in tight spaces.

  • Requires a valid driver's license.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
