POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician II will perform routine building maintenance tasks for up to 15 facilities involving the skills of two or more fields to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of Goodwill facilities in excellent repair. Duties may involve, but are not limited to, repairing drywall, installing door handles, replacing toilets, running electrical wires, replacing ballasts, changing light bulbs, securing plywood, repairing concrete, fixing door closures, securing mirrors, filling potholes, and other general maintenance tasks.  This position will require designated on call responsibilities.  This position is expected to support Goodwill's overall Mission by working with, mentoring or providing learning opportunities for clients/program participants.  This position must have the ability to perform job duties with little supervision.

Duties include but not limited to: * Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair, making notes and recommendations. * Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. * Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. * Basic electrical work such as running electrical wiring, setting store timers, moving lighting, installing outlets, and replacing ballasts for store lighting. * Record type, cost, and time of maintenance or repair work. * Secure project materials either by visiting retail location or via online ordering as directed. * Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular office fixtures and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.  * Perform seasonal grounds maintenance such as lawncare and snow removal from time to time when needed to supplement contracted vendors.

Travel Required:  Yes, this role requires travel between Goodwill locations in Southwestern Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia, using a company vehicle. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) flexible schedule, can vary depending on department needs.

External Hiring Range: $22.00 up to 22.88/hour

Retention Incentive:  $1000 retention incentive after 6 months of employment

QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 4 years of experience and skills in more than 1 allied trade areas and/or in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repair, etc. OR * Trade School Degree or Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience in more than 1 allied trade areas and/or in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repair, etc. 

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS: * Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.   * Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation. * Required designated on call responsibilities.
