Climax Molybdenum is the world's leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business in a safe, highly efficient and socially responsible manner. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles is underground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.

Description Highly skilled mechanic who safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, installation and repair of crush and conveying equipment and related systems.

• Performs system troubleshooting, maintenance and component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying systems ext.
• Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance such as changing filters in the dust collection systems, checking screens, oil levels and lubrication systems.
• Prioritizes and makes decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.
• Trains and mentors other employees.
• Performs advanced welding and fabrication.
• May operate mobile equipment such as: Forklifts, cranes, and boom trucks.
• Performs as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.

Minimum Requirements include but are not limited to: - Two (2) years' experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance. - Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English - Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
