Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Project Management professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The selected candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects. This position will require the project manager to perform advanced project management tasks from inception to close-out and continue to manage the system for operational efficiency. They should have knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and Program Management processes and procedures.

The selected candidate should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform tasks independently. They should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have experience briefing Leadership along with possessing solid organizational abilities and being a motivated, flexible team player.

Key responsibilities:

  • Business Manager Responsible for leading all aspects of the business associated with Interim Tinker Labs (ITL) and future Tinker Labs

  • Consultant for Business Execution

  • Control Account Manager (CAM) responsible for managing cost and schedule for multiple ITL networks

  • Lead in securing significant Capital and Indirect funding

  • Manage and Coordinate Capital and Indirect budgets across ITL contract

  • Lead Comprehensive Estimates at Complete (CEAC)

  • Develop and manage Strategy & Rhythm to support top level execution of the ITL contract

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or a Sr. Principal level.

Basic Qualifications for Principal:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university

  • Minimum of 6 years of project management and logistics experience; 4 years with a Masters

Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management and logistics experience; 8 years with a Masters

Basic Qualifications for both Principal and Sr Principal:

  • Hands on experience in project management and control account management

  • Familiarity with risk development and mitigation plans

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with Change Board processes and implementation planning

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and product teams

  • Demonstrated leadership success and ability to gain influence with peers and others in a matrixed organization

  • Experience in Microsoft Project (scheduling), EVMS, Microsoft Excel (pivot tables), and Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing technical projects preferably aerospace related

  • Experience managing facilities and infrastructure projects

  • Master's Degree

  • Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously

  • Able to analyze functional, structural or compositional characteristics

  • Ability to apply and/or develop technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

  • Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours

  • Ability to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel)

  • Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions

Salary Range: $72,600 - $108,800

Salary Range 2: $89,900 - $134,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
