CERTIFIED CONCRETE BATCH PLANT OPERATOR

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Certified Concrete Batch Plant Operator position for our Okeechobee operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Batching: Accurately measure and combine ingredients of concrete, including cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures, according to specified mix designs.
• Mixing: Oversee the mixing process to ensure thorough blending of ingredients and achieve desired consistency and strength of concrete.
• Quality Control:Perform various tests on concrete samples, such as slump tests, compressive strength tests, air content tests, and temperature monitoring, to verify properties and compliance with standards.
• Documentation:Maintain detailed records of concrete batches, test results, and any adjustments made during batching process for traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and address any issues or discrepancies during batching, mixing, or testing processes to maintain quality and integrity of concrete.
• Communication: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of quality concrete products for construction projects.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of batching equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of operations.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• DOT Certification as a Concrete Batch Plant Operator required
• Minimum of 1-2 years proven experience in concrete batching, mixing, and testing in a construction environment
• Demonstrated understanding of concrete mix designs, materials and quality control procedures and testing
• Required to perform tasks that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently
• A valid Florida drivers license and satisfactory driving record required
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check
