The Boeing Company is searching for a Senior Delivery Support Engineer to facilitate successful deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner. This position is based in North Charleston, SC.

The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate with teammates from a wide range of disciplines. All of this culminates in Boeing being able to create and maintain accurate schedules for delivery activities, while achieving milestones on time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrates engineering and certification activities within the production and delivery process to ensure on-time and successful airplane deliveries to customers.

  • Uses an extensive knowledge of the Boeing production, engineering and certification systems to act as an Engineering advocate with Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Delivery Center Operations and act as a BSC Delivery Center Operations advocate with Engineering.

  • Participates in high-visibility meetings with executive leadership from each discipline in order to have awareness of critical risks and issues, ensuring all stakeholders have the necessary information and can plan accordingly.

  • Monitors, statuses and supports ongoing certification activities (cert plans, deliverables, schedules) to ensure timely ACE, TIA, release to ticket and on-time delivery.

  • Provides communication for and technical integration of major flight line activity and significant issues affecting certification and deliveries with appropriate technical groups and senior management.

  • Initiates and coordinates engineering and certification (EWA/WSRD) testing activity.

  • Provides project management and engineering support for successful execution of the Interior Certification process.

  • Proactively solves problems and communicate progress to cross-functional teams.

Work Authorization Statement:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of experience in project planning or project management

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)

  • 3+ years of engineering release experience

  • 3+ years of certification experience

  • 3+ years of experience in production environment

Typical Education/Experience:

Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay Range Summary:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Senior Level: $114,750- $155,250
