Description

A growing, well known Construction Company in the Greater Hartford area is looking for a detailed-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager to work in their dynamic environment. Duties include accounts payable and receivable, weekly payroll, reconciliations, mantaining general ledger, tax filings, monthly financials, cash management, contract review, among other special projects or office support.

Necessary qualifications include 3-5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, bachelors degree preferred or relative work experience, knowledge of construction industry helpful/big plus(some exposure to AIA billings or project costs), QuickBooks experience desired, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

The role also requires well-rounded accounting experience and ability to be a jack of all trades within an office setting, strong multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper/ Accountant/ Accounting Manager type position

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks a plus!

• Experience in Construction Accounting a plus!

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree/Associates in related field is preferred or equivalent work experience
