Robert Half Tax Manager in New York, New York

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our team situated in New York, New York. This role is within the telecom provider industry and involves meticulous organization and detail-oriented work regarding tax management. The role is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of book to tax reconciliations for all entities, including detailed analysis and reconciliations of tax adjustments.

• Execution of GILTI inclusion calculation including detailed analysis of tested income adjustments by foreign entity.

• Preparation and analysis of data to compute foreign tax credit by bucket and potential limitations.

• Calculation of foreign derived intangible income (FDII) benefit and base erosion anti-abuse tax (BEAT).

• Review of estimated tax payments and extension calculations and management of payment process.

• Coordination with Treasury to ensure the company is set up to make EFT payments to state taxing authorities.

• Monitoring the filing of returns, extensions, and payments to ensure they are accurately and timely filed.

• Direct collaboration with external income tax preparer to address queries and manage requests for information.

• Preparation of tax provision calculations for U.S and foreign entities.

• Preparation and aggregation of information for forecasted GAAP effective tax rate for interim tax accounting and reporting.

Skills Required:

• Corporate Tax Return

• CorpTax Software

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Federal Income Tax Return Requirements • Must have a strong background and experience in the field of corporate tax return management

• Proficiency in using CorpTax Software is required

• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is necessary

• Experience in handling federal income tax returns is essential

• The applicant should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and also independently

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Must have a deep understanding of the current tax laws and regulations

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary

• Should possess a strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
