Talent Acquisition & Learning Manager

Job Description:

The Nom Nom P&O team is focused on helping make Nom Nom the most exciting pet food company to work for. The Talent Acquisition & Learning Manager will spearhead supercharging our talent strategies. They will team up with cross-functional leaders and the P&O team to craft and roll out solutions that improve our associates’ experience and accelerate Nom Nom’s success. From hiring to nurturing talent, they lead with flexibility and creativity to boost recruitment, onboarding, and development, keeping our Nom Nom associates engaged and growing. This person plays a pivotal role in shaping the associate journey and ensuring high-quality performance at every step.

Specifically, the Talent Acquisition & Learning Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with our strategic business objectives and support our employees' professional growth. Additionally, they will lead the charge in recruiting outstanding talent by managing the entire talent acquisition process for corporate and skilled positions within Nom Nom.

What are we looking for?

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR-related field, MBA preferred.

  • A minimum of five years of Learning and Development experience

  • Two years of experience in a Center of Excellence (COE) role, specializing in areas such as Talent Management, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, is preferred.

  • Two years of experience collaborating with diverse partners and resources to recruit talent, and develop and deploy talent management programs across an enterprise is highly desired.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Able to handle multiple priorities and initiate, lead, and manage change. Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in the creation, development, and implementation of leadership development programs.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities and skills, to ensure projects and initiatives are managed and implemented in a timely manner.

  • Administrator experience within an applicant tracking system, such as Greenhouse, Workday, etc.

  • Thorough knowledge of the talent management process, including theories and models.

  • Current and relevant knowledge of the instructional design process, learning styles, and instructional techniques relative to classroom training and eLearning.

  • Able to accurately diagnose root causes and design custom interventions that specifically address issues that impede business results.

  • Strong business acumen, process, and customer focus are required.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and highly creative problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional process and project management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Collaborate with functional leaders and the P&O business partners on recruitment needs, talent reviews, leadership planning, talent development processes, and performance management.

  • Oversee the identification of training needs by consulting with internal stakeholders and using needs assessments to develop and deliver training solutions that meet business needs.

  • Ensure strategic alignment of all training programs with business goals and objectives by consulting with management to ensure they meet legal requirements, business needs, and organizational objectives and reflect sound practices.

  • Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training courses and programs and ensuring that there are effective resource allocations, deployments, and budget management.

  • Broaden knowledge of various training methods, including coaching, virtual workshops, classroom training, mentoring, and e-learning programs.

  • Communicate information throughout the organization on learning initiatives and create business cases for future training needs as they arise.

  • Assist leaders in navigating the organization’s performance management cycle, and mentor them in providing effective feedback and impactful employee review discussions.

  • Oversee the optimization of all training and recruiting processes for efficiency and memorialize procedures.

  • Manage the full life cycle of the recruiting process for all exempt roles, from posting to extending offers, and partner with the P&O team to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

  • Maintain transparent, clear, and appropriate communication with hiring managers and functional leaders.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, including job posting optimization, physical and digital employment marketing, job board, procurement, social media vehicles, etc., to source qualified candidates for open positions.

  • Maintain a streamlined recruiting, selection, and onboarding program and monitor for effectiveness.

  • Build strategic talent pipelines, effective recruitment marketing campaigns, and positive relationships with partners.

  • Oversee ongoing reviews of applicant tracking system to ensure it performs and is being used optimally.

  • Gather metrics to create reports and identify areas for improvement.
