Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the Summer Help - Press Room Assistant supports a variety of tasks within the Press Room.When your actions lead to success Ability to be flexible in daily work assignment work a straight shift (6a-2p or 2p-10p or 10p-6a) Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards Responsible for supporting the production of quality products while maintaining production performance Report on Statistical Process Control Data on the main attributes of the order being produced Constantly monitor quality and waste for all orders being produced Assist with troubleshooting print defects and minor machine problemsA bit more about the Press Room Assistant Wash parts Emptying and grounding of dirty rag bins General department housekeeping, cleaning, painting Inventory support (sleeves, air carriers) Assisting fulltime Press Assistants/PreOps Retrieve supplies, blades, tape, rags, cores Help take end-of-series rolls off press Help with finished roll handling, including moving, stacking and banding Band waste and recycling materials, operate standup forklift to move waste to pick up locations for Waste Recovery (Do we need them to be able to do this?) Back move raw stock Help with Make-ready responsibilities as requested; changing sleeves, air carrier, aniloxes Other duties as assignedWhen your expertise drives us This job is in a manufacturing environment working on and around heavy machinery with high-speed rotating parts; continuous strobe lights may be present.
