Basic Job Functions:

The Process Control Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to, the oversight of the level 1 and 2 automation teams and plant automation. This will include continuous improvement of our Safety Culture, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance systems, Project Coordination, and Team Development. The Process Control Lead will also be expected to communicate all facets of the above mentioned with team, piers, management, and all other levels as required. The Process Control Lead will be expected to lead, motivate, develop, and assist a team while demonstrating a commitment to safety, fairness, team development, continual improvement, cost awareness, bottom line results, and innovation

Minimum Qualifications:

4-year degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering or 4 years equivalent demonstrated experiences.

1 year experience with ControlNet, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet IP, and Modbus.

1 year experience of Virtual Machines, MSSQL Servers, and Oracle

3 years experience in automation

1 years experience in the Steel Making processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

General business knowledge and an understanding of how Nucor makes money.

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to work at hand.
