Company: CM Paula Company Location: Mason, OH Position: Human Resources Leader The CM Paula Companies are looking for a Human Resources (HR) leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in HR with a thorough understanding of HR laws, policy, and procedures. The bulk of the role will involve employee recruiting, orientations, benefits, compensation, and conflict resolution administration, with an opportunity for developing and refining systems. The CM Paula HR Leader is responsible for ensuring that CM Paula, and our individual operating divisions, are great places to work. Objectives of this Role Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes. Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, time off, and other personnel packages. Assist with recruitment efforts and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records. Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale. Responsibilities Employee Care: Assist with new employee searches, job postings, phone screenings and arrange interviews and process offers. New hire Onboarding, employment forms and insurance/401k additions when eligible Maintain Employee files. Assist employees with insurance questions, and any changes in forms or benefits. Handle any employee attendance/behavior issues. Management of personnel policies to ensure associates feel valued and respected. Insurance/Benefits Administration: Annual insurance renewal- Management of Open Enrollment for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability Maintain and updating throughout the year. Manage Cobra Administration Review all insurance bills monthly for accuracy with additions and terminations. Assist with annual 401k Compliance testing and 5500 submissions. Monitor electronic feeds between payroll service and insurance carriers. Regulatory Duties: OSHA 300 log and summary maintenance, reporting and posting. Worker's Compensation management, reporting, and claims ISNetworld reporting Required governmental postings. Unemployment Insurance management Family Medical Leave Act Administration Administrative Responsibilities: Keep calendar for employee annual reviews. Update salary changes in payroll system. Plan employee parties, lunches, and events. Order and organize food/lunches for clients during onsite visits. Assist/backup payroll processing. Maintain Employee manual. CEO Action participation Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources 5+ years in human resources or recruitment Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills Ethical mindset - Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems Working knowledge of MS Office Detail-oriented and organizational nature.
