JOB REQUIREMENTS: Safety and Emergency Management Officer - 29441 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 100% FTE, day/evening shift. Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM. We are seeking a Safety and Emergency Management Officer to: * Administer and maintain all Environment of Care and Life Safety programs in accordance with standards and criteria established by The Joint Commission, state, local, and federal agencies. * Conduct rounds on a periodic basis to detect code violations, hazards and inappropriate work processes and procedures. * Review accident reports and investigations and make recommendations to maintain a hazard free environment. * Conduct risk assessments that proactively evaluate the impact of healthcare operations. * Plan, direct, document and execute fire drills including after action reports and improvement plans. * Serve on-call for emergency situations and assist with managing incident command activations as needed. Four (4) years of combined education (Associate\'s degree) and work experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor\'s degree, in addition to experience listed below Preferred - Master\'s degree in related field. Work Experience : Minimum - Three (3) years relevant experience, including one (1) year of progressively responsible experience within safety, including leadership and program management.
