The Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Service Senior Sales Executive is committed to supporting and growing our Service Agreements business within our commercial Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Service team. Our Sales team supports our Operations team whose focus is to perform fire/life safety/sprinkler service and maintenance to end users/building owners of large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Your technical and financial expertise, along with your critical thinking and negotiation skills, will help tailor our customers’ needs into winning solutions for the direct end-user service market.

This position will focus on and grow our Wisconsin territory.

As a Senior Service Sales Executive, you will:

  • Understand the current fire/life safety/sprinkler market, competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals within the region

  • Develop a vertical market and account management plan for strategic growth within the Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Service business, as well as identify new business opportunities and create “go-to-market” strategies for end-user customers

  • Consult with customers on technology needs, budgeting to position Siemens as a service industry leader

  • Maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, achieve new order/booking and profit goals consistently

  • Develop value-based sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations, working with operations, finance, legal, and other inside/outside resources as needed to complete a compelling proposal and close the sale

  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams for excellent customer outcomes including new projects

  • Attend industry-specific networking events; actively participate in professional organizations such as NFPA, NFSA, ASHE, NBFAA, AFAA, IFMA, SAME, 7x24, etc. to build a network of contacts and to represent Siemens in the local market

  • Prepare accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports and expense tracking, participate in sales department meetings, workshops, training, and professional development seminars

  • Travel overnight up to 10% for training and business development

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED

  • Experience in sales within the commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, life safety, or similar commercial building/construction industry; candidates with no formal sales experience but with directly related experience within the commercial Fire Alarm/Sprinkler industry such as Project Management, will also be considered

  • Familiarity with building safety inspection codes and standards (IFC, IBC, NFBA, CMS, etc).

  • Experience and financial expertise in estimating and selling technical solutions and servicing offerings effectively and independently

  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering

  • 5+ years experience in sales, account, and business development or consulting within the commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, life safety or similar commercial building/construction industries

  • Experience selling service agreements to multiple levels of the customer’s organization (end-users/building owners)

  • Experience selling service agreements within vertical markets such as hospitals, universities, K-12, etc.

  • Working knowledge of common fire and life safety systems and equipment

  • Familiarity with building life safety inspection codes and standards (IFC, IBC, NFPA, CMS, etc.)

  • NICET Fire Alarm Certification

  • The pay range for this position is $65,100 - $111,600 / year, along with a no-cap commission structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
