Job Description

U.S. Bank is on the lookout for a Senior Product Manager, Data and AI, to lead the charge in harnessing the power of data and artificial intelligence to revolutionize merchant experiences. This role is crucial in driving data-driven solutions across all SMB business touchpoints, including the web, POS systems, and mobile applications. The ideal candidate is a visionary and hands-on leader with an experience in AI, reporting, and business insights, capable of building the technical data pipelines necessary for AI capabilities and successfully launching these innovations to our businesses across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data and AI Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive data and AI strategy to enhance merchant experiences across all touchpoints. This includes leveraging data technologies, AI/Gen AI to provide valuable insights and reporting capabilities to merchants.

  • Customer Insights: Conduct market research and gather customer insights to drive product development. Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure U.S. Bank maintains a competitive edge.

  • Technical Pipeline Construction: Lead the development of technical data pipelines that are essential for building and scaling AI capabilities within the product ecosystem. Ensure these pipelines are robust, scalable, and secure.

  • Product Development and Management: Drive the entire product lifecycle from ideation through launch. Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and refine AI-driven features and capabilities that meet merchant needs.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, UX/UI, marketing, and sales, to ensure product vision alignment and to drive the successful execution of product initiatives.

  • Performance Measurement and Optimization: Utilize data analytics to measure product performance and identify opportunities for optimization and growth. Implement metrics and KPIs to track the success of data and AI initiatives.

  • Proven experience working in large, complex, and fast-paced organizations, with the ability to navigate matrixed environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Product management experience, with a strong emphasis on data and AI-driven product development.

  • Proven track record of developing and launching products that leverage data and AI to improve customer experiences.

  • Deep understanding of technical data architectures, machine learning models, and AI applications in a business context.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and product strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.

  • Master's degree in a technical field or MBA preferred.

  • Deep expertise in building and scaling AI and data capabilities within a digital ecosystem, preferably with exposure to B2B SaaS, retail or Fintech platform

  • Prior experience in a startup environment, demonstrating the ability to operate with agility and innovate within a larger, fast-paced organization.

  • Hands-on experience with modern data processing technologies (e.g., Big Data, real-time analytics) and AI/ML platforms.

  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, innovative, and growth-oriented environment.

  • Strong portfolio of data and AI-driven projects that have significantly impacted business outcomes.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience leading agile teams.

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $144,160.00 - $169,600.00 - $186,560.00
