Accurate Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing Warehouse Attendant in Lancaster, Ohio

Job purpose

 

As a Warehouse Attendant you will help drive the success of Accurate Mechanical by maintaining accurate inventory levels of necessary tools and materials. Ensure all tools and materials are in good working order and prepared for each project.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

These duties are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned at any given time based on business needs.

 

  • Maintain inventory levels of assigned warehouse.
  • Load and unload goods being delivered from vendors
  • Ensure that correct quantity has been received by comparing received goods with information on the work order
  • Identify any damaged or missing goods and record pertinent information
  • Ensure that delivery forms are signed only upon satisfaction of completed order
  • Ensure warehouse is clean and organized to allow for quick and efficient use.
  • Allocate storage space for items based on their types and sizes
  • Comply with the company's safety and security procedures
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with vendors to ensure smooth procurement
  • Ensure quality control of goods coming in and going out of the warehouse
  • Deliver materials and tools to job sites as needed.
  • Pick up materials and tools from vendors as needed.

     

Qualifications

All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation.

 

Qualifications include:

 

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Ability to pull and backup trailer
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to manage competing demands and projects
  • Willingness to work in unconditioned space
  • Experience with computers

     

Working conditions

 

In this position you are subject to work in indoor and outdoor conditions. Those could include, but are not limited to; heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow. You will also be subject to work in cramped, tight, dirty spaces or would be required to climb ladders.

 

Physical requirements

 

The physical ability to drive vehicles for up to 2 hours per day.

The physical ability to climb on a ladder or scaffolding to heights in excess of 10', balance, and work above the shoulder frequently.

The physical ability to occasionally bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat in order to operate and maintain the HVAC/Refrigeration systems and the physical plants.

The physical ability to use both hands for frequent grasping and occasional fine manipulation and fingering.

The physical ability to frequently carry up to 50 pounds of weight.

The physical ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds of weight from the floor to above the shoulders. This weight will be constituted by the following items, but not limited to them: tools, toolboxes and tool bags, ladders, filters, motors, refrigeration tanks, and equipment.

Weights in excess of 50 pounds may need to be lifted between the floor and waist on rare occasions and may consist of the following items but not limited to them: compressors, fan motors and heat pumps.
