2nd Shift Supervisor, Large Assembly

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Mosel, WI

Opportunity

Responsible to support and direct multiple production work teams to attain established production goals. Utilizing a combination of technical knowledge, leadership and team management skill sets, the Foreman will guide teams to effective results within areas of process improvement, production, safety, quality, cost and delivery.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall safety of work team(s). Thoroughly understand the proper usage of equipment within the work teams, and assist /coordinate accident analysis and safety audits. Understand the basic principles of Kohler Co.’s safety policies and procedures.

  • Accountable for the overall productivity and day-to-day staffing of the Large Enclosure Assembly area.

  • Coordinate the overall quality of the work team and demonstrate a basic understanding of quality standards.

  • Develop weekly work schedules as well as oversee the work team as they develop and execute the daily schedules. In addition, provide guidance and tools for work team to manage scheduled time off such as vacations. Coach team on the basics of on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process improvement opportunities and utilize process improvement tools among the work teams.

  • Foster a collaborative work environment by leading work teams in problem-solving within the team and across functional areas – examples would include engaging the work team in discussions about new equipment with Engineering and Maintenance; or establishing a joint problem-solving team between Operator, Foreman and Maintenance when determining whether to run, fix or shut down a process due to problems with a machine.

  • Understand the labor contract as well as enforce policies affecting personnel administration.

  • Prepare reports, work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

  • Flex supervisory support to other areas on second shift as needed.

Skills/Requirements

  • College or Associate Degree desirable.

  • Must have prior Supervisory experience with some practical experience in assembly or manufacturing operations.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $69,800 - $87,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
