Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Finishing and Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for effective coordination and supervision of production and maintenance activities at the Johnstown Plant. The incumbent will provide management, coordination, and continuous improvement for all aspects of manufacturing, including safety culture, quality processes, schedule adherence, workforce, and product development initiatives. This position will provide effective management of maintenance activities including storeroom management and work order and preventative maintenance plan execution to minimize downtime. He/she will be accountable for meeting objectives in the areas of safety, quality, delivery,and cost. What's in it for you! What you'll do Safety Maintains safety awareness through activeemployee engagement and positive reinforcement. Drives good housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment, striving for 5S. Timely reporting of all near misses and first aid events, encouraging good catches, risk assessments, and root cause elimination Ensures employees completion of all required safety training. Leads execution of monthly team safety requirements - including completion of behavior-based safety observations, near miss reporting, safe work permits, safety meetings, pre-shift safety inspections, departmental inspections, etc. Educates and coaches team members on safe operating procedures and behaviors and provides reinforcement and feedback where appropriate to drive desired behaviors. Effectively communicates the company's stand on safety throughout the Operations Department to ensure employees believe in and behave in a manner that supports our stand that all accidents are preventable, safety is everyone's responsibility, and that working safely is a condition of employment. Performs reporting and investigation of all safety incidents, driving to root cause and permanent resolution. Quality Ensures quality andcompliance of product to technical specifications and requirements. Audits quality systems to ensure compliance to prescribed. Collaborates with Quality to communicate customer feedback to the workforce, implement corrective actions, and improve overall plant quality systems. Co-owns NCR process.
