Description

As the Senior Vice President of External Relations and Development, you will advance organizational strategy by providing overall leadership of externally facing relationships and overseeing and coordinating activities related to public relations, marketing & communications, referral relations, and fundraising.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare organizations, and community and business leaders to advance the organizational brand, strategy, mission, and business growth.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to identify, oversee, and implement business growth opportunities in alignment with organizational strategy.

  • In collaboration with the Directors of Marketing & Communications, Public Relations, and Referral Relations, develop and execute promotional strategies aligned with ChildServe’s brand and strategic initiatives to advance the mission and organizational success.

  • Enhance the organization’s visibility through effective communication, marketing, and media relations.

  • Create and oversee a focused strategic approach to fundraising initiatives with priority projects set in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Trustees.

  • Advance a culture of philanthropy in collaboration with donors, the board, CEO, development team, and ChildServe team members.

  • In partnership with the CEO, identify and cultivate board members and foster their growth and involvement, support and facilitate board meetings, and provide oversight, direction and support to board committees.

  • Oversee Community Advisory Boards and their role with the Board of Trustees, and serve as the Foundation liaison to the Board of Directors.

  • Ensure the proper disposition of all donor contributions, fiscal responsibility for all appropriations, administration of restricted and endowed funds, and oversee audit and compliance issues.

What You'll Need

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as public administration, business administration, or healthcare administration.

  • Minimum ten years of professional experience with demonstrated personal and professional development and advancement.

  • Experience leading dynamic teams and achieving noteworthy results.

  • Proven track record in building community partnerships.

  • Developing and implementing organizational strategy.

  • Visionary focus with strong planning, decision-making, project management, and meeting management capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others for the good of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop people to do great work and grow in their career, including coaching and developing senior-level leaders.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
