HR Business Partner (hybrid work schedule) opportunity with a well-known Cosmetic Packaging Manufacturer

Summary :

Reporting dotted line to the Chief HR Officer (CHRO), the HR Business Partner will focus on aligning local HR activities with Group HR strategies of our 2 Companies by providing a comprehensive, professional, and efficient service, offering operational, consulting and information support to management and employees.

He/she will work closely with the CHRO, as well as with other members of the HR Team primarily on the key HR processes (performance management, training, and development) along with the areas of employee relations, budgeting, personnel costs, and other employment-related costs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the information flows with payroll providers and supervise the outcome of their elaboration, occasionally running payroll directly.

  • Ensure compliance of HR processes, procedures, and activities regarding all local laws and regulations and to Group guidelines.

  • Build and sustain effective and dynamic relationships with the population in scope.

  • Ensure that HR policies are properly implemented; HR services are integrated to meet operational needs; and human resources activities are in line with the Group's strategies.

  • Contribute to the Company's strategic and operational decision-making process.

  • Ensure all departments are properly staffed by performing recruitment and selection process in an efficient, and timely manner.

  • In charge of the preparation and updating of job descriptions to assure the company is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Research of compensation standards set by the industry to create salary structures.

  • Administering employee benefit program, including health insurance, paid time off.

  • In collaboration with the CHRO work to build a culture of performance and continuous improvement mindset through an effective performance management system and development plans.

  • Partner with Manager on the identification of training needs and the trainings that can match the needs along with monitoring their effectiveness.

  • Act as the first point of contact for Line Managers regarding staff performance management or absenteeism issues, to help assist and manage, resolve, and support them in the appropriate manner.

  • Act as the first point of contact for Line Managers in assisting and advising employees, employee relations and issues.

  • Provide support/advice to Managers on labor legislation and resolution.

  • Prepare and manage accurate reporting to CHRO and Managers.

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and HR Certifications preferred

  • 5 years of proven HRBP experience especially in Talent Acquisition and HR Administration

  • Experience in employee relations in a manufacturing environment

  • Deep knowledge of labor laws and regulations in NY and NJ

  • Ability to manage payroll and personnel costs

  • Successful track record in talent management: recruitment & selection

  • Experience in designing and delivery of training plans

  • Bilingual Spanish highly preferred

  • Solid understanding of HR policies and procedures

  • Organized with strong prioritizing skills

  • Dynamic and effective communication skills

  • Easily approachable with an innovative approach

  • Teamwork with leadership abilities

  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Ability to manage HR relations at 2 sites (NY and NJ) with approximated 85 employees

  • Ability to travel to the west coast site once per quarter or as needed

    HYBRID schedule - 40% WFH - 60% in the office (New York office in Richmond Hill and New Jersey office in Newark), excellent benefits, team environment, very stable company.
