Medtronic Facilities Maintenance Technician II - 3rd Shift in Jacksonville, Florida

A Day in the Life

As the Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.

  • Typically perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, and mechanical.

  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

  • Use hand and power tools.

  • Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.

  • Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

This is an on-site 3 rd shift position with working hours between (10:00pm-6:30am).

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BAS systems

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Ability to use multi meter to troubleshoot incoming power and low voltage controls

  • HVAC experience

  • EPA universal certification

  • Ability to sweat, braze and pro-press pipe

  • Familiar with chiller plant and water treatment (RO/DI systems)

  • Ability to be on call 24/7 and weekend rotation as the schedule dictates
