Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, Department of Urology, seeks a full time Assistant Scientist. The Assistant Scientist will work under the supervision of Dr. K.C.Balaji, Professor and Chair of Urology. Dr. Balaji's laboratory is focused on prostate cancer basic science research. Specifically, the laboratory is interested in cell signaling and transgenic mouse modeling. The Assistant Scientist should have substantial training in molecular biology and received broad training in nude mice experimentation. The Assistant Scientist will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory operations, vector construction, will closely coordinate with Pl in the planning of the sequence of experiments, as well as detailed experimental design at all stages. The Assistant Scientist will also be responsible for detailed primary data analysis on each experiment, graph generation, consultations with collaborators, abstract, manuscript and presentation preparations.
