We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance technician to bolster our 2nd shift production team. Schedule can vary from 4:30pm - 3am OR 6pm - 6am depending on work load and needs, occaisonal Saturdays as well. Bilingual candidate is preferred but not necessarily needed. This is a Direct Hire positoin for a growing company that is about to hit their peak season.

salary: $60,000 - $73,000 per year

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints and electrical schematics;

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance;

• Assist in installation, remodeling, retrofits and rehabilitates equipment and buildings as needed;

• Communicate with the various Maintenance departments to maintain a productive and satisfying work environment;

• Inspect equipment and notify management and or Engineering of any hazards or defects;

• Responds to work orders and ride downtime calls in a timely manner;

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of electrical components;

• Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems;

• Performs electrical problem solving and assists with all aspects of electrical troubleshooting;

• Use computer systems to perform diagnostics on electronic components and PLC system;

• Uses appropriate tools, such as multi meter, ampere meter, hand and power tools, etc;

• Bend conduit and replace old wiring;

• Uses skills and abilities to identify faulty equipment and identify parts and equipment needed to complete repairs;

• Installs/repairs control and distribution mechanisms, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, as well as conduit and wire;

• Repairs critical equipment, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and completes projects such as electrical hardware upgrades.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
