DESCRIPTION OF WORK

We are a small human resource (HR) team, and each HR Analyst is responsible for multiple functional areas.  In this position, you will primarily focus on classification and staffing functions for non-civil service positions, as well as serve as the agency Employee Relations Coordinator.  You also will oversee the performance evaluation program for attorneys and investment professionals at SERS; draft and review agency policies; coordinate responses to unemployment compensation claims filed by former agency employees; and provide secondary support in a variety of other HR functions, including civil service staffing and classification.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.

Work Hours: A work schedule beginning and ending between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, inclusive of a half-hour or one-hour unpaid meal period will be considered, dependent on operational requirements.  The requested work schedule may not end prior to 4:00 PM.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week, dependent upon operational needs.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to work on-site.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 in the area of the parenthetical; or

One year as a Field Human Resource Officer 1, and one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; or

Two years of experience in the performance of professional human resource work, including one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
