DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the data assessment and quality assurance of all ambient air quality data, while supervising a staff responsible for the performance of statewide quality assurance on continuous and discrete ambient air sampling equipment. In addition, you will maintain and operate systems designed to collect real-time and discrete ambient air monitor data, as well as verify the completeness of all data to ensure it is of sufficient quantity and quality to support the data's intended use. You will also be in charge of developing and maintaining all of the air monitoring program's standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance project plans (QAPPs), and the air quality forecasting program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; and five years of professional environmental protection experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Conditions of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid driver's license.
