WestRock Company Multi-site Continuous Improvement Manager in Great Yarmouth, United Kingdom
The opportunity: As an integral part of the WestRock PM&A future success, reporting to the Operations Director the CI Lean Manager will be responsible for auditing the processes taking place within a project and the organization linked to them in order to propose measures to improve the functioning in terms of quality/cost/times for stakeholder satisfaction. In this role, you lead CI initiatives for two sites, Gorleston (UK) and Deols (France).
How you will impact WestRock:
Lead CI Lean and have knowledge of specific business tools and methodologies, use and implement: VSM (value stream mapping), 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, flow analysis, FMEA, six sigma, SOP and quality standardization.
Manage and drive change management on site
Detect CI projects and carry out an inventory of the functioning of a process or organization to be optimized.
Identify points of progress by carrying out a process map.
Define and prioritize improvement projects based on targeted gains.
Define priorities and an action plan with management
Set up and analyze performance indicators
Carry out quality system improvements.
Audit the performance of existing means of production
Organise and lead meetings, workshops, brainstorming
Initiate and manage lean management projects, re-organisation and improvement of productivity, production and ergonomics
Identify areas of progress and the implementation of actions plans associated production methods.
Supervise the qualification and development of phases of processes and tools.
Implement new techniques, new improvement methods and reliable and appropriate operational and financial indicators.
Lead cross functional working groups to deploy the approach to continued progress for all teams.
Benchmark and standardize best practices.
What you need to succeed:
Effective communication skills, influencing and persuasive skills

Knowledge and experience of LEAN and problem-solving tools
Excellent organizational skills
Assertiveness and dealing with challenging, difficult people, managing stressful situations and projects whilst not demotivating others
Operational task Management, business writing reports and presentation of data, planning and prioritizing activities
Accurate record keeping, engineering & staff administration.

Understanding Health and Safety policy and responsibilities in conjunction with manufacturing processes and staff
Being highly technical and thorough, professional, and proficient
Making smart decisions to meet company objectives
Problem solving, using known techniques (Operational Learning, Fish bone, 5 Whys etc.) in an efficient manner
Collaborating in team activities (5S, TIMWOODS), promoting team ethic and spirit
Support / involvement in any future company transition to a new ERP system and ongoing changes.
Encouraging new ideas, implementing, and promoting high performance team ethics within site and beyond.
Promoting positive performance analysis for project activity What Went Well (WWW) and Area for Improvement (AFI) reporting
