Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Optician to join our team at Pearle Vision of Glen Burnie MD. This is a part-time hourly position - approximately 2 or 3 days per week. Two of those days would be Friday and Saturday. The Optician will be responsible for assisting customers with their eyewear needs, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales for our store. Responsibilities: - Greet and assist customers with their eyewear needs, including helping them select and fit frames and lenses - Utilize product knowledge to make recommendations and suggest upgrades to meet customers' needs and preferences - Accurately measure and adjust customers' frames and lenses to ensure proper fit and comfort - Educate customers on different lens options, coatings, and treatments and make appropriate recommendations based on their lifestyle and prescription - Inform and educate customers about insurance benefits and help them navigate the insurance process - Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment - Meet and exceed individual and store sales goals - Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively - Work collaboratively with the store team to achieve overall store goals and objectives Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Prior experience in sales and customer service, preferably in the optical or retail industry - Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of basic math and ability to perform simple calculations - Familiarity with different types of lenses, coatings, and treatments is a plus - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds - Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed - Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the store EEOC Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
