Aerotek Maintenance Manager in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Description:

• Relies on experience and judgement to assign job plans and accomplish departmental goals. Manage all maintenance team members at the site.

• Must demonstrate leadership and good judgment in approaching decisions.

• Assist in formulating standards/work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.

• Maintain positive customer and employee relations.

• Ensures that Maintenance department objectives and key metrics are met.

• Act as a Liaison to Account Manager, Planners, Customers, and Department.

• Lead team members by allocating time for one on one coaching and provide mentoring with high standards.

• Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Oversee all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

• Develop and oversee QA/QC inspection protocol of all work personnel and work performed.

• Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals.

• Communicates with all team members to support the development of short and long-range goals and objectives.

• Strong business management AND strong people management skills

• Will require a large business management aspect at the start due to new building, needing processes implemented

• Creating best practices and standards for this brand new building

• Be able to speak to ability to support business management along with people management skills – creating a positive safety culture and be able to speak to what that looks like, KPI’s (good examples of KPI’s – do they have experience managing metrics of KPI’s/KBI) downtime (direct reflection of uptime) judged on safety record, mean time to repair, PDM completion, etc

• What were some of the KPI’s you were responsible for and what did that look like to implement those

• Must be able to implement safety policies – but also the importance and the why behind them

• Up Time – tracking/managing it – downtime and limiting downtime, what is down time, what constitutes as downtime (equipment being down when it’s planned to be in use)

• Be able to specifically walk through managing downtime – not just saying can’t complete PDM’s or equipment down but what that looks like and managing that entire process – and truly managing it
