What You Will Do

  • Assist with assigning and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.

  • Collaborating with Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, Operations, Controller, and Quality Leaders to elevate a team to its full potential.

  • Taking corrective action measures as needed using critical and economic thinking, challenge processes, and team collaboration to resolve issues and drive innovation, efficiency, and safety excellence.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in the Gypsum industry. Four years' experience is preferred.

  • Must be able and willing to work a rotating shift schedule. The schedule will include day, night, weekend, and holiday work hours. Shift schedules might change during employment.

  • Must make working safely the top priority, follow all plant safety policies, and enforce safe work p actices.

  • Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of general safe work practices.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of a manufacturing department which include safety, quality, productivity, waste, training, development, and discipline.
  • Must have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn various PC-based production reporting applications.
