Job Description

A waste management company in the Central Jersey area is looking to add a Market Area Director of Safety to their team. This individual will oversee the safety initiatives at three of their depots. You will be responsible for driving positive change, making recommendations for safety improvements, working with upper management and individual contributes to mitigate incidents and ensure the organization remains in compliance with OSHA, DOT, BIC, DSNY, NYDEC and NJDEP laws.

We are looking for a director that prides themselves on building relationships with the field and management, isn't afraid to role up their sleeves and has a proven track record of improving safety across multiple orgs.

This position requires driving between three depots in Ewing, Bridgewater and Old Bridge area based on the needs of the day.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience in a health and safety role

-Experience and well-versed with DOT, OSHA, NYC BIC, DSNY, NYDEC and NJDEP regulations

-Strong communication and analytical skills that help drive positive change -experience in the waste management industry null
