LOCATION: BUSH AND COOPERS EDUCATION CENTERS

PART - TIME POSITION

• Provide adults with rigorous and engaging classroom instruction, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be career ready in the Welding industry.

• Prepare students to be AWS Certified

• Communicate regularly with co-teachers, counselors, and adult education staff.

• Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites.

• Monitor students’ academic progress including, but not limited to, progress/grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills.

• Keep current with changes and developments in the Welding industry.

• Uphold the BOCES’ Values: Service, Collaboration, Leadership, and Integrity.

• Carry out all other duties as assigned.

• Maintain Council on Occupational Education Advisory Meetings and document.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma, College Degree

• Extensive experience working in a welding shop required, 2 to five years’ experience working in the welding field, flexible with evening hours, Ability to handle heavy lifting.

  Salary: $38.00 per hour
