Protective Industrial Products Material Handler in El Paso, Texas

Come Join our Fun and Fast-Paced production team of skilled fabric technicians at our El Paso facility. We specialize in Short and Medium production runs as well as prototyping all types of industrial and cleanroom garments. Primarily working with lighter weight fabrics. We are a bi-lingual work environment (English and Spanish).
Responsibilities for Material Handler/Clerk
Identify and label fabrics and stock into their locations in the cutting racks to maintain inventory
Load and unload incoming and outgoing fabrics, materials, and cuts at cutting & sewing areas.
Prepare labels and print them for fabric rolls, cut bags and boxes
Label & storage incoming fabrics to cutting racks on assigned locations
Move fabrics. materials to and from fabric rack to cutting tables to fabric racks
Move markers to assigned cutters bin by priorities from marker shelve
Spread fabrics for cutters at cutting tables per priorities
Count and move cuts to labeled plastic bag from cutting table to assigned box by contractor
Prepare finished cuts for shipment by using WI or PL by dates and contractor, then packing and label box per PL and storage box on assigned unpalletized shelve or pallet
Maintain cutting area organized and clean
Operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment to move freight
Perform and report cycle counts distributed by Manufacturing manager
Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
Qualifications for Material Handler
High school diploma or equivalent
1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
Certification to ride forklift truck preferred
Must be able to work well in a team
Ability to read & write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
Ability to prepare and print labels
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
