Interurban District: East St Louis Mini Lab

Job Description

The Successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the chemical feed systems and required process control testing and analysis; filling of day tanks; calibration of chemical feed pumps, including checking chemical feeds at outlying stations that may be required. Other duties involve managing pumping and filter operations including filter washing and an additional filter treatment that may be required. Also responsible for the receiving and testing of chemical deliveries. Duties will also include routine maintenance and housekeeping depending on actual working assignment and any other duties assigned by management.

Shifts/Hours

This position will require rotating shift work to provide coverage 24 hours per day, 365 days per year including all observed holidays and weekends.

6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am

Experience/Education

  • 0-2 years minimum in water industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certification & Licenses

  • Class C Water Operator\'s license required after 2 years in position; Class A Water Operator\'s license required after 4 years in position if a license is not already held.
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.

Skills

Strong work ethic, time man gement, communication, and organizational and team membership skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Good mechanical skills. Position requires the ability to lift 7Slbs. Computer literacy required.
