Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed is seeking a Commodity Manager for 3PL Logistics and Warehousing support to join Wolfspeed’s Indirect Procurement team. The 3PL Logistics and Warehouse Commodity Manager will be responsible for supporting procurement activities for warehousing with the Logistics department. The individual in this position is responsible for the negotiations and contracts of these services, meeting business requirements, in addition to managing supplier relationships and performance. Some travel is required to visit new or existing 3PL warehouses, and to meet with suppliers.

The Day-to-Day:

  • This is an individual contributor role
  • Manage the negotiations and adherence of supplier contracts in the Logistics department
  • Work with internal Stakeholders on requirements and supplier expectations
  • Assist Accounts Payable with invoice issues
  • Manage supplier quality, cost and delivery
  • Assist in implementing effective sourcing strategies to ensure quality of service
  • Interact with internal Stakeholders to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
  • Work with internal Stakeholders for sourcing new Warehousing space as needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to position Wolfspeed as a preferred customer

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS in Business or Supply Chain related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement and contract review
  • Comprehensive experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Developed and managed RFPs, including negotiating contract savings
  • Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed environment and managing relationships
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Responsive and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Inquisitive nature, driving for improvement
  • Results driven with a desire to take ownership and manage a piece of the business
  • Highly organized, energetic, and adaptive individual able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
