Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Welcome Center Assistant (FT) in Douglas, Georgia

The Welcome Center Assistant receives and routes telephone calls for the Coffee campus. This incumbent provides requested information and/or forwards calls to the appropriate locations or individuals, greets in-person college visitors, determines the nature of their business, and provides appropriate information to other personnel as needed. The Assistant provides clerical support. Assists with the coordination of special events on campus. Supports the office of the Director of Campus Operations. The successful candidate is expected to have a positive outlook, must have a strong work ethic that sets examples for others on campus, and a desire to promote Wiregrass opportunities to the surrounding community.

Assists the Bookstore with fleet vehicle reservations and dispersing vehicle books. Completes WGTC training, webinars, and modules in a timely manner. Assists the One Stop with printing IDs, scheduling appointments, and ensuring students sign in at the Kiosk. Assists with recruiting and admissions activities, (such as stuffing envelopes, entering prospect cards into Banner, etc.) as needed. Operates as a liaison for maintenance, to assist with deliveries, emergency situations, etc. when needed. Assists with student parking decal distribution.

SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Equipment Used: Standard office equipment.

Working Conditions: Category III - No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens. Very little probability of working beyond the normal shift. Travel is rarely required.
