Blue Sky Inc., a provider of direct support services for persons with disabilities located in Detroit Lakes is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team! Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible to execute the daily functions of Human Resources, including hiring and interviewing staff, performance management, administering pay, benefits, and leaves of absence, and enforcing organization policies and practices. This position includes full responsibility and accountability to the CEO in an effective, efficient, and economical manner. Guide the business to effectively manage the workforce, implement and administer HR policies, programs, and best practices, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Manage workplace risks and threats to the safety and security of employees. Participate in identifying and supporting training and development needs. Maintain an effective level of business knowledge, strategic plans, goals, culture and its competition. Develop HR strategies in alignment with business objectives. A full job description will be available during the interview process. Qualifications Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to 6 years in Human Resources or related field. Minimum of 2 years experience resolving employee relations issues. Knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring, recruitment, employment, leave of absence, and benefits. Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment of a variety of roles. Prefer previous experience and knowledge of employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, and Social Security and DOL requirements. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases. Relevant Human Resources, Talent or Benefits Certification required or ability to obtain within 2 years of position.
